Buddha-Bar Budapest – managing the full online presence of a high-quality 5-star hotel in Budapest. It also included the Buddha-Bar Restaurant, which is one of the best in the world with Asian-fusion cuisine. The French franchise operates in 14 countries around the world with over 40 restaurants.
The restaurant did not have its own site, only a subpage on the old Bookassist site, and it was made in the CMS, so the possibilities were limited. There were events and goals set in Analytics, but nobody watched the results, there was no authoritative sales channel on our website. The same situation was with the hotel’s other restaurant, Baalbek.
The goal was to distinguish between the restaurant and the hotel, as it often caused confusion in the guests. Both restaurants were given a separate page, and the Buddha-Bar was available at restaurant.buddhabarhotel.hu. A clean page was made with huge, mouth-watering images that instantly made people feel like having a table. For this purpose we contracted with Restu.hu, their system fully satisfied our desires. The menu has always been uploaded as static content, not in pdf so that mobile users can easily browse the offer.
The separation was really fruitful, the restaurant’s online traffic was measurable, guests were able to distinguish it from the hotel. Redundant circles have been reduced for colleagues working on the operation. Thanks to the website, we hosted 1,000 people a month who were booked on the site. Data from the booking was used to send newsletters or request ratings.
Buddha-Bar restaurant became a successful project and a stand-alone output.
